Pre Treatment Advice

  • Please arrive at your appointment fresh and showered
  • Please ensure that you use min. SPF 30+ sunscreen daily
  • For upto 2 weeks prior to your appointment please refrain from using self tanning lotions and treatments
  • For upto 4 weeks prior to your appointment please do not pluck or wax
  • Talk to your therapist before your treatment – she will fill you in with any concerns
  • Let us know if you have any skin irritations or sunburn in the area you are getting treated
  • Please also let us know if you are taking any medications at the time or prior to your treatment
  • Wear loose clothing to your appointment – this will minimise any irritation after your treatment
  • Shave the treatment area one (1) day before your appointment

Post Treatment Advice

  • After your treatment you may notice redness or bumps – this should last only a couple of hours.  You may use a cold compress or aloe vera gel to relieve the skin
  • Please avoid sun exposure for 4 – 6 weeks after the treatment
  • Do not use any other hair removal processes in conjunction with IPL-SHR hair removal (eg. Waxing, Nair, Depilitory Creams)
  • After 4 days please exfoliate the treated area
  • Please refrain from heavy exercise, hot showers or saunas for 2-3 days after your treatment
