Silk Studio was established in February 2010 by husband & wife team Kristy & John Cooper. Having been a Therapist for many years Kristy saw the benefits for both her clients & her future family to take the traditional Beauty Clinic & create a Personalised Boutique Studio. A private, chic space where ladies & gents of all ages could experience a high end service, within the heart of Mount Cotton. All the while providing the extra conveniences that a Professional Residential Salon brings, easy parking, no shopping centre noises, privacy, flexible hours, high value & personable care- after all home is where the heart is.

All of our staff are Senior Therapists, highly trained & experienced in every area of the Medi & Beauty Industry holding extra qualifications in the paramedical & advanced Beauty fields and between us we hold more then 70 years experience within the Beauty & Hair Industry. Our whole team is constantly undergoing training, upskilling & evolving to ensure we are giving our Clients only the very best.

Meet Kristy

Kristy is the owner of Silk Studio & these days spends less time in the Salon & more time ensuring staff are well equipped to provide a second to none service for new & existing clients, some that have followed Kristy for over 15yrs! She has a passion for cosmetic chemistry & skin histology, is a perfectionist & pays particular attention to finer details. She thrives on helping others & is often working behind the scenes to keep Silk Studio growing & up to date!

Meet Payton

Payton is our Clinic Manager & brings years of experience in Beauty & Skin Therapy to Silk Studio! With a true passion for the industry, Payton gives each of her clients & her team 110% ensuring a positive & caring salon culture, where both our Clients & our Team can thrive.

Meet Athena

Our Senior Hair Stylist Athena has over 20 years experience in Hairdressing & absolutely loves what she does! Her specialty is everything to do with hair especially hair health!… From precision style cuts, rich colourings & beautiful blondes to balayage & colour correction. Your luxury hair appointment at SILK is more of an experience then an appointment.You have the ONE Stylist & their undivided attention from the time you walk into Silk to the time you leave.

Meet Paige

Our senior Beauty Therapist Paige has years of experience within the beauty & health Industry both as a technician & as an owner of a successful skin clinic in New Zealand. Paige is very hardworking & caring with the knowledge & experience to uphold the high standards of customer service & high grade treatments that we provide at Silk.
